Tehilim - The Psalms

Throughout history, the Jewish Nation has overcome endless suffering and pain, by turning to the holy words in the Sefer Tehilim - The Psalms.
During the darkest times of the Inquisition, the horrors of the Holocaust, the pain of persecution and the devastation of war, the Jew clung to his precious Tehilim and poured out his heart in prayer to God, for better times to come.

The Psalms is the work of King David, which he wrote during his times of trouble and relief. It includes 150 magnificent poems of prayer and praise to God.

By reciting the Tehilim, a person can reconnect to the chain of history, while finding in the ancient words some resemblance to his own suffering.

By using the words of King David in Tehilim, our prayer elevates itself to a higher spiritual level.

"קרוב ה' לכל קוראיו לכל אשר יקראוהו באמת"
"God is nigh to all who call upon Him, To those who call upon Him with truth" (Psalms 153,18)
